Dr. Jonathan Raistrick graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington with his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 1990. He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale for his bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences.
Following graduation in 1990, he moved to Connecticut where he opened his practice and started seeing patients on a full-time basis. Dr. Raistrick's dream was to build a practice dedicated to holistic medicine and other natural modalities to not only help prevent disease in men, women, and children but to also help treat the root cause of any illness in the most natural and safest way possible.
After being in practice for 23 years, Dr. Raistrick advanced his knowledge and education in East Asian medical studies. He enrolled in the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute and received a dual Masters (MSTCM) in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese herbalism.
Dr. Raistrick is the current Chairman of the Connecticut Board of Naturopathic Examiners for Connecticut Department of Public Health. He is also a contributing author in The Textbook of Natural Medicine and has published articles regarding health and holistic medicine.
When he is away from the office, he is an outdoor emergency care instructor for the National Ski Patrol, as well as, a ski patroller at Okemo Mountain in Vermont.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Raistrick keeps active with his sons Ian and Pearson. The three of them not only enjoy sailing, skiing, and fishing together but also playing music. Dr. Raistrick plays the upright bass while his sons play the guitar, banjo, mandolin, cello, and violin.
