Our skillful team of Dr. Jonathan Raistrick, ND, MSTCM, and Jessica Raistrick, LCSW, offers holistic, comprehensive, preventive care for both acute and chronic conditions. We apply natural methods to restore and maintain optimal health by supporting the patient's inherent self-healing process. Our services encompass two distinct systems of medicine: Comprehensive Naturopathic Care, which includes assessment, diagnostic testing, lifestyle education, nutrition planning, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes the 4 pillars of acupuncture, movement, nutrition, Chinese herbs.
A comprehensive medical history, laboratory evaluation and diagnostic testing as needed will be done during the initial one-hour office visit. An individualized program of natural medications and therapy may be prescribed. We strive to provide the least invasive and most cost-effective approach to resolving your health concerns.
We are committed to addressing conditions that solely pertain to males. Whether hormonal imbalances, urinary disorders, prostate health, and we recognize the importance of keeping each individual’s needs in mind. We offer compassionate care alongside clinically proven and cutting-edge therapies to address your concerns.
Physical medicine aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments of joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Treatment by soft tissue massage, moving bone, electrical stimulation, orthopedic exercises, and heat applications are often used once a patient has been evaluated.
As a licensed clinician for more than 20 years, Jessica Raistrick, LCSW, shares that her inspiration comes from the adolescents and adults that she treats who overcome the struggles of addiction, eating disorders, and family conflict. Effective change happens when the underlying problems are addressed in ways that are individualized and creative. The safe space Jessica offers in therapy allows her clients to explore their feelings, their choices, and challenge patterns of behavior. Jess works extensively with teens struggling at school, at home, and with the legal system. Her work with parents includes finding effective strategies to reach their teen while opening the lines of communication within the family system. In addition, Jessica’s work with substance abuse treatment and prevention has spanned her career while working in the school system, alternatives to incarceration, residential treatment facilities, and in her private practice. She has also worked with individuals coping with eating disorders for over 10 years in a residential setting. Jessica’s work with clients is grounded in empathy and connection. Furthermore, her style of direct feedback, in a compassionate manner, helps individuals gain insight and envision and enact new modes of behavior. She finds it rewarding to help people make connections between their feelings and their behaviors—to find healthier ways to express their emotions.
Jessica is a certified Reiki Master. Reiki influences the subtle energy fields around the body to inspire positive transformation. In addition, the practice of Reiki can create a healing space for the integration of other modalities, especially talk therapy, trauma processing, holistic health integration, and overall wellness. The origin of the term is from the Japanese words “rei” (universal) and “ki” (life energy). Reiki is a form of nuanced non-invasive energy healing that honors the power each individual has to heal themselves. As a result, energy healing targets the more subtle energy fields in the body where energy can stagnate or where perhaps one has suffered physical injury or emotional pain. In time, these areas or energy blocks can cause dis-ease or ill health. Alternative therapies such as Reiki positively support the flow of energy and remove blockages. In addition, Reiki can help with relaxation, support overall healing, and reduce other symptoms of potential illness. It is commonly referred to as palm healing or hands-on healing. This gentle practice can have a profound effect.
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration that involves visualization and the use of imagination. It’s a mind-body modality that allows you to experience heightened receptivity to therapeutic suggestions to facilitate desired changes. Hypnosis can assist you in your journey to healing, health, and wellness in many ways. Therapeutically it can be used to help modify and alleviate symptoms of acute and chronic medical conditions, reduce stress, enhance emotional well-being, and facilitate positive lifestyle and behavior changes. Hypnosis is not sleep, mind control, or a “truth serum”. You cannot get “stuck” in hypnosis. It is a natural state that we all go in and out of throughout the day and occurs when you are highly focused on something to the exclusion of other things. You are in control at all times and can come out of hypnosis at any time you choose.
When in hypnosis, you can feel deeply relaxed. You may experience certain body sensations such as tingling, floating, or a pleasant heaviness in the arms and legs. You will generally be disconnected from any immediate concerns you are carrying, focusing more on inner processes. You may be a good candidate for hypnosis if you have a strong desire and readiness for healing and change, clarity on exactly what you’d like to achieve, faith or belief in your potential to heal and make the desired changes, and a relaxed and positive commitment to the process. The hypnosis services I offer can be a wonderful support to medical or mental health therapy you may be undergoing, or can be a stand-alone service.
